The Faith & Housing Summit is a convening of faith leaders, city officials, community services agencies and affordable housing practitioners to explore ways that faith communities, affordable housing providers/developers and local government can partner to advance affordable housing options for Charlotte’s residents.

This event is all about bringing our community together. The city wants to hear directly from our faith communities on why affordable housing matters to them and what ideas they have for partnerships. Experts will provide pathways forward and share some ideas on how we might work together to make affordable housing a reality for everyone in our city. It's a chance for open conversations, collective brainstorming, and a call to action.

  • Connect through shared purpose. Bring the community together to explore pathways for communities of faith to participate in affordable housing for Charlotte’s residents.

  • Celebrate & Learn. Learn from examples of creative partnerships between communities of faith, public and private entities. Listen for barriers, for future work on ways that connections and city/partner support can help.

  • Inspire & Advance. Build new connections and strengthen the work with educational tools and resources.

This is just the beginning -- the summit marks the kickoff of a body of work that will include further engagement, regular updates, identifying resources, developing teams to pilot big ideas, sharing results and equipping faith community partnerships to achieve shared goals. Stay tuned for more info and learn how to get engaged as this work expands and evolves!
